Leaving Vneuron to pursue a PhD

Yesterday was a very sad day as I left my current job as a R&D Software Engineer at Vneuron.

Before I leave, I wanted to gift something valuable for my friends, my workers and all the wonderful people I have known for this 1 and a half year period. There was nothing more valuable to give than knowledge, so I’ve decided to go for a 2 hours workshop on Data Indexing from Lucene to Elasticsearch.

The presentation of the workshop is located here: https://github.com/praisethemoon/presentations/tree/master/ir/ultimate_guide

And the source code of the demo application is here: https://github.com/praisethemoon/esdemo

In any case, leaving Vneuron to pursue a PhD was an extremely hard decision. But I’ve always wanted to do it. So as every decision I make, I go to what I truly want to do.

As as for now I will be working as well studying in the field of machine learning (deep learning specially) as well as computer vision in the field of robotics.

Time goes so fast my friend. At the time I am writing this, I am at the lab researching about Thermal & IR Cameras 🙂
